Ashlyn's injury.

A week ago today our Ashlyn fell off of the balance beam and broke her ankle at gymnastics. It was the next day when the swelling began and, after seeing an orthopedic surgeon, she now has a cast and must use crutches for a month. She is doing a great job with managing her cast and her crutches! She returned home from school with so many autographs from friends on her cast that Noah and I had to sign on the very bottom. Ashlyn has a positive attitude about the whole thing and we are praying for complete healing with no repercussions so she can heathily participate in all the activities that she enjoys! Love you, sweetheart!

Happy Birthday, Holly!

Today we celebrated my baby sister's birthday! What a delight and help she has been to all of us at one time or another! The past six months have been my turn to use her help as she has been to treatments with me and been my daily encourager. Bless her heart, she has had a monster sinus infection for the past week, but, thankfully, she appears to be on the mend. Since Mom and Dad have been under the weather for a while, we celebrated both of our birthdays. We missed having our brother, Jerry, with us this year. His birthday falls between ours on February 9th. Hope he and we have many more happy birthdays in the future. My precious, Holly, is one of a kind and I am filled with gratitude that she is a part of my life! Love you so much, sweetheart!!!!!! It was good to get together with Mama, Daddy and Troy for KFC and cake!

Celebrations!!!!!!

Jax, the birthday boy at Chuck E. Cheese

Ashlyn, Daniella, Diego, Grey Noah, and Jax

Cool birthday cake!

Jax is "getting down"!

Gida and Gigi with the birthday boy!

Belated Happy Anniversary Jarrod and Blair!

Happy Birthday Poppy!

Happy Birthday to Me!
I have been a negligent blogger so I am catching up on our family celebrations today. First, we had the "official" celebration of Jax's birthday. Everyone had fun at Chuck E. Cheese, even Gigi and Gida.

Jarrod and Blair celebrated their anniversary at a little remote cabin in Georgia. Their actual anniversary was December 28 and it was their 10th anniversary! They are such a loving couple and have happy children, too. What blessings they are!

Celebrated Poppy's 87th birthday on February 7th. We are so thankful he is doing so well. We are glad to have him in our lives and his great sense of humor keeps us chuckling.

Today is my birthday. Can't believe I am 61 but I am thankful for each and every year. I pray the Lord  gives me many more years to serve Him but I trust His plan for my life. I will have several parties this week but each day of life is reason to celebrate.
