Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

Ashlyn's terrific performance at Frontier Days!

Ashlyn's  sweet smile just before performing!

A graceful cartwheel!

Ashlyn's back flips are really coming along!

Her walking backbend looks difficult!
This morning Alf and I went to Lynchburg to watch Ashlyn perform in the Tumble U exhibition. Ashlyn performed with grace and confidence! She has learned so much since beginning gymnastics and really seems to enjoy it! What a pleasure it is to watch her grow and succeed at multiple undertakings! We are so thankful for her healthy mind and body! Great job, Ashlyn! Paw Paw and I love you so much and are so proud of you!

Father's Day!

My hubby, Alf, and sons Josh and Jarrod

Josh, father of Ashlyn and Jax

Jarrod, father of Noah and Grey

My father and me

Alf and his father
Today is Father's Day and how appropriate it is that this special day is on Sunday when we praise and worship our Heavenly Father! How fortunate Alf and I are to have such wonderful fathers, fathers that have integrity and show unfailing love for us, our children, and our grandchildren! It isn't difficult for us to believe in a caring Heavenly Father since our fathers are so special to us.
Our sons are great fathers! Their love for their children is so evident as they freely show affection to them! I am so thankful that is the case as it is so important for their children to feel secure in how their fathers feel about them. We are so blessed by all the wonderful fathers in our family!

Special Days

Remembering our freedom!

Mama Holly, Daddy Troy, Brandon and Tiffany

Happy Birthday, Shirley!
Today was Flag Day and we fly our flag every day, lest we forget the freedom that we hold dear. We can't help but remember our service men and women that serve our country each and every day, on call 24-7 so that we can live in such a blessed nation. I remember that my nephew, Brandon, returned home from Iraq Saturday into the arms of his parents that love him so, they and we, his extended family, are so thankful to have him back in the states and grateful to God that our daily prayers for safety were answered and he returned whole and healthy.
This evening we took our friends Shirley and L. J. (Larry) out for Shirley's birthday dinner. We enjoy their friendship and treasure the years behind us that created so many wonderful memories. We hope to create many more memories.
Here's to the special days that hold significance to all of us. May we never take them for granted.
